Hi, as you may have gathered from the name of this website my name is Tim Landwerlen. I was born May 19th, 1982 in Indianapolis, Indiana and I've "lived" there my whole life, as in it's still my home of record. I graduated from Ben Davis High School in June of 2000, and by June 5th I was standing on the yellow footprints aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. After 92 rigorous days of training I graduated on September 1st with Hotel Company, Platoon 2066. After 10 days of "boot leave" I reported to Camp Pendleton, Ca. for Marine Combat Training, and graduated on October 13th, 2000 (A Friday the 13th if I recall).

This ominous day lived up to its expectations because it was this same day that I reported in to the Marine Corps Communication and Electronics Schools (MCCES), in Twentynine Palms, Ca. I'm not surprised if you've never heard of it. While in MCCES I was the honor grad of both my basic electronics course and my Micro Computer Repair Course, which quickly rose my rank from Private to Lance Corporal.

In June of 2001 I reported for duty aboard Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, Ca. Serving with Marine Air Control Group - 38, Marine Wing Communications Squadron - 38, Bravo Company Maintenance Platoon. After 15 months of service and being told on multiple occasions to call home and tell them their Marine was being sent to Afghanistan and having the Op cancelled every time, I decided nothing was going to keep me from going overseas, so I put in a package for MSG duty and was accepted to go to school in October of 2002. I graduated with class 1-03 in December of '02 and I've been overseas ever since.

Being overseas for this amount of time has allowed me to see many Foreign Countries. Brazil, Tunisia, Egypt, France, and Germany to name a few... I'm currently "stationed" aboard the United States Consulate General in São Paulo, Brazil.
